The Minority Contractors and Business
Assistance Program (MCBAP)
MCBAP Mission Statement
To provide
direct, quality business and contract procurement assistance that
contributes to the growth and stability of Ohio's underutilized
businesses with emphasis on minority and small at risk businesses.
The Minority Contractors and
Business Assistance Program (MCBAP) at the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce provides outreach for the Division of Minority Business
Affairs (DMBA) into the minority business community. The MCBAP
program assists minority entrepreneurs with loan and bond packaging
services, management, technical, financial and contract procurement
assistance.
MCBAP provides
one-on-one counseling to new and existing business owners. MCBAP
assists minority firms with the following:

Accessing various state and local government
programs

Completing federal, state and local certification
applications
-
Identifying local resources
-
Referrals to financial assistance programs
-
Providing access to a Plan/Bid room, which includes
on-line Dodge Reports.

Contract procurement assistance

Business management counseling
