Legislative Positions
The Chamber's policy process is member-driven. Our policy process
focuses on careful analysis of issues and legislation. The
foundation of the policy process is a group of issue-oriented
subcommittees, which are open to all Chamber members. Each
subcommittee focuses on one of the following areas: economic
development and tax policy, workforce development, education,
environmental policy, infrastructure and workplace regulations.
Each of these subcommittees reports to the Chamber's government
affairs committee, which in turn reports to the Chamber's board of
trustees and the Toledo Area Small Business Association's (TASBA)
board of directors. Through this process, every Chamber policy
position is eventually reviewed by committee members. This
guarantees that the policies of the Chamber are representative of
the
Chamber's membership at large.
