Public Affairs
Business advocacy is a Chamber priority. Our Public Affairs Department represents our
members' interests at the local, state and federal levels of government. Our efforts help
the Chamber serve as the voice of the business community on legislative and regulatory matters.
This way, our members can collectively have an impact on legislative issues far beyond what
may be accomplished individually.
Members can get more involved with these efforts through the Chamber's Government Affairs
Committee, as well as subcommittees that focus on economic development and tax policy, workforce
development, education and environmental policies, infrastructure, levy review, and workplace
regulations. The department also provides up-to-date legislative information and publishes the
Chamber's legislative agenda and elected officials directory. We also present lobbying seminars
and opportunities to interact with legislators and candidates throughout the year. Contact the
Public Affairs Department at 419-243-8191.
