Chamber Energy Solutions lead to savings for Zoup!

Zoup! Fresh Soup Company, located at 310 W. Dussel Dr. in Maumee, has been combining its unique hand-crafted soups, sandwiches and salads into satisfying meals for patrons since 2005. Now, the company is combining the buying power of the Chamber Energy Solutions (CES) program with energy efficiency measures to bring significant savings to their business.

According to owner Paul Gilis “The Chamber Energy program, in conjunction with our installation of energy efficient lighting and auto thermostats have saved Zoup approximately 17% each month compared to the previous year – and we reap the rewards of the program while still receiving the same great service from Toledo Edison .”

Chamber Energy Solutions works to get participating businesses the best rates on their electricity usage by locking in a competitive fixed rate to protect against price fluctuations. Current enrollees in the CES Electric Program are receiving between 10 - 20% in savings off the generation component of their bill.

“In a time when virtually all costs continue to increase I am very happy to have joined the Chamber’s Energy program, which has helped us to keep our pricing low while remaining profitable,” states Gilis. “This has resulted in increased sales during a time when many restaurants are suffering declines in traffic.”
