We are thrilled to announce that Brian Dicken, Vice President of Advocacy and Strategic Initiatives at the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce, has officially earned the Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) designation from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE). Brian received this esteemed credential during the ACCE’s annual convention, marking a major milestone in his professional development.

“Brian’s achievement of the CCE designation is a reflection of his deep commitment to excellence, leadership, and the advancement of our region’s business community. This honor not only recognizes his expertise, but also strengthens our Chamber’s ability to drive meaningful change and advocate for Toledo’s future. We’re incredibly proud of his accomplishment and thankful to have him on our leadership team.”
— Wendy R. Gramza, CCE, President & CEO, Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce
What is a CCE?
The CCE is the only globally recognized credential designed specifically for chamber professionals, representing the highest level of achievement in the field. Earning the CCE requires demonstrating expertise across the four pillars of the ACCE Body of Knowledge:
  • Management
  • Planning & development
  • Membership, communications & revenue
  • Operations
Candidates must also meet rigorous eligibility criteria, including years of senior-level experience and leadership of impactful chamber projects.

Why This Matters for Toledo
For Brian—and for the Chamber—this achievement signifies:
  1. Validated Expertise
Brian’s strategic leadership has been officially recognized by peers nationwide. As a CCE, his proven mastery across core functional areas reinforces the quality of our Chamber’s advocacy, policy development, and strategic initiatives.
  2. Trust and Credibility
The CCE designation signals professionalism and dedication to continuous improvement. Business and community leaders can be confident that Brian—and by extension, our Chamber—upholds the highest standards of service and ethics.
  3. Best Practices & Innovation
ACCE CCEs are known to champion innovative programs and operational excellence. Brian will be bringing back insights and strategies from top-tier professionals to enhance Toledo’s advocacy efforts and grow our impact.
  4. Leadership for Today & Tomorrow
Earning a CCE reflects not just past achievements, but commitment to future leadership. Brian’s continued dedication aligns perfectly with the Chamber’s mission of promoting a thriving, forward-ready business community.

Congratulations, Brian!
Please join us in celebrating Brian’s success. His dedication to excellence elevates our Chamber—and the entire Toledo region. We’re proud to have him at the helm of our advocacy and strategic initiatives, and we look forward to the many ways his CCE designation will benefit our members and partners.
