| The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the graduation of our 6th The Art of Scale Up cohort—a dynamic group of entrepreneurs who have committed to growing their businesses with intention, strategy, and confidence. Hosted through the Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC), The Art of Scale Up is more than a class—it’s a transformational experience designed for business owners who are ready to move beyond day-to-day operations and into sustainable, strategic growth. |
Art of Scale Up is an intensive, 8-week, hands-on program that equips entrepreneurs with practical tools to strengthen their businesses from the inside out.
Throughout the cohort, participants tackled real-world challenges and focused on critical areas such as:
- Understanding financials and making data-driven decisions
- Becoming “bank-ready” and positioned for capital access
- Streamlining operations to reduce overhead and improve efficiency
- Building scalable systems for long-term success
This isn’t theory—it’s implementation. Each session is designed to help participants apply what they learn immediately within their own businesses, creating tangible progress week over week.
What sets Art of Scale Up apart is its personalized approach. The program dives deep into each participant’s business, identifying opportunities for improvement and helping turn strategy into action.
Through expert-led sessions, peer collaboration, and hands-on guidance, participants gain not only knowledge—but clarity, confidence, and a stronger foundation for growth.
"Going through the Art of Scale Up Cohort was a stepping stone in the right direction. It was very informative and gave me the skills I need to become more effective and efficient in my field. The cohort opened my eyes to a whole new meaning of team, leadership, and brother-sisterhood, and gave me the tools that have already helped me scale my business in the right direction. As we run our own business, we hold one another accountable. The team made the process clear. If you follow through and complete the work, it will pay off. The team will lead you to success; trust the process."

The graduation event was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when entrepreneurs are equipped with the right tools, resources, and support system. Surrounded by fellow business owners, partners, and community leaders, our 17 graduates celebrated not just the completion of the program—but the progress they’ve made and the momentum they’ve built.
These entrepreneurs leave the program better prepared to:
- Make informed financial decisions
- Scale operations strategically
- Navigate growth with confidence
- Contribute to a stronger, more vibrant regional economy
At the Chamber, we believe that small business success fuels regional prosperity. Programs like Art of Scale Up are a direct reflection of our commitment to supporting entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey—especially those ready to take the next step.
By investing in business owners, we are strengthening the foundation of our local economy, fostering innovation, and helping build a more inclusive and resilient business community.
To our graduates: congratulations. Your commitment to growth is not only an investment in your business—but in the future of the Toledo region.
