Toledo Metal Spinning Company, with a proud history spanning over nine decades, has been a driving force in metal fabrication and spinning. Established in 1929, the company has thrived through its dedication to innovation, craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to its customers.
Vice president, Eric Fankhauser, shared his excitement about being named to the CO—100 list, saying, “We are very excited to be part of this esteemed group of CO—100 honorees. I value awards like this as a way to recognize the hard work of our employees and the remarkable customers we have. After all, without those two components, there is no business."
Toledo Metal Spinning’s resilience in overcoming significant challenges has also been a testament to its strength. Fankhauser recalls the aftermath of a devastating fire in 1998, a pivotal moment in the company’s history. “Our comeback was amazing and remarkable, and it was because of our employees,” he noted. Their efforts have not only restored the company but have fueled its continued growth and success.
Today, Toledo Metal Spinning continues to thrive by serving a diverse group of clients across various industries, including aerospace, automotive, and defense. The company’s ability to adapt to changing market needs and continually innovate has been a driving factor in its sustained success.
As Fankhauser looks to the future, he is optimistic about the next generation taking the reins. “It is exciting for us to be training and teaching our younger generation the ways of the business,” he said, highlighting the family-run nature of the business and the involvement of the third generation of Fankhausers.
