First up is Jeff Schaaf, VP of Talent Strategy and Signature events.
Located in downtown Maumee, Sunshine Studios offers art by local painters, photographers, jewelry-makers and others. It employs more than a dozen men and women with developmental disabilities who work in textiles, clay and other art. In addition to their normal selections, they’ve launched mission-driven gift boxes for the holiday season. There are several different boxes available which can be customized with a variety of items including handmade ornaments, coffee, local treats and even a mini bird bath!
Owned and operated by Sunshine Communities Inc., which celebrated their 75th anniversary this year, Sunshine Studios is an inclusive space providing employment for individuals with developmental disabilities, and creative opportunities for artists of all abilities.
Plus it’s located within walking distance of their sister organization, Georgette’s Grounds & Gifts, where you can grab a cup of coffee or bite to eat after shopping for your family and friends.
Support local and give meaningful gifts this holiday season! Visit Sunshine Studios for unique, mission-driven gifts and experience the joy of shopping local. Don’t forget to stop by Georgette’s Coffee for a warm drink or treat while you’re in the neighborhood.
