We invite you to get to know her a little better in this Q&A.
I love to bring people together, I’m all about collaboration, finding creative solutions and getting things done! I’ve always enjoyed roles where I get to build relationships and help other people be successful. Outside of work, I run on Dunkin, I’m a proud mom to Ilianah a soon to be Cleveland State Viking, and have two cats that are way too spoiled.
What brought you to the Chamber?
I have spent the last few years working in the areas of education, workforce development, education/training, and programming. The Workforce Initiatives manager role was a great opportunity for me to continue engaging in these efforts and bring my experience and knowledge to an organization that has been instrumental in leading the way in the region.
What do you hope to accomplish in your role at the Chamber?
I’m hoping to continue using the regional labor data and the Talent Alignment strategy to assess needs, and bridge gaps between business, educational institutions, and workforce development efforts to help make a meaningful difference in our community.
What do you look forward to doing in your role?
I’m looking forward to meeting all the Chamber partners and learning about the people, businesses and organizations that we serve and who make up our membership.
What is your proudest career achievement?
While it’s not exactly a career achievement itself but earning my master’s degree, while working full time, and raising my daughter is my proudest achievement.
And now to get a little more personal...
Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
I can do 9 pull ups; I have a goal of 14 by the end of the year.
What is your favorite book or movie?
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is my favorite book because it’s a book that any person can find meaning in. This is a story about listening to your heart and following your dreams, overcoming challenges, trusting your intuition, and fully believing in your own potential.
What is your favorite meal or food?
My favorite food is Mexican food, and usually something spicy.
Tell us about some of your favorite hobbies or things you are passionate about.
I’m always doing something active, and at any given time you can find me doing one of three things: working out, visiting one of the Toledo Metroparks (Glass City and Wildwood are my favorites), or trying to improve my golf game.
