A brief company history: We are a fairly new startup of very experienced staffing and search consultants, along with highly skilled and experienced corporate/support staff. Many of us have worked together for over 20 years. We opened the physical doors in 2024 and are proud to say we have an average tenure in the industry of over 16 years. We are located in the Toledo area (HQ) with the remainder of our staff working remotely from their homes or client locations around the US.

What does your company do: Talent Wave is a provider of talent acquisition services across North America. Our services consist of Professional and Executive Search, along with Professional Contract Staffing. We provide these consultative services to some of the world’s top companies ranging from startups to fortune 50 leaders. The skillsets we provide to our clients are broad, but all are at the professional level and above. Many of the areas we recruit employees for our clients fall within, but not limited to these: Engineering, Manufacturing/Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Accounting/Finance, and others.

What business challenges keep you up at night: Our business is all about the employees we are able to recruit, attract, and hire into our organization. Continuing to position ourselves as an employer of choice and to continue to drive brand awareness is the key to attraction. One of our challenges will be to maintain the family feel and culture as we scale and grow the company. We must also embrace technology and AI to find the most efficient and productive ways to deploy these tools for the benefit of delivering even high quality services to all we serve.
What trends/insights are you finding in your field/market? I mentioned it a little bit above, but technology and specifically AI is impacting and touching almost every business in operation today. Do not fight or reject it – find a way to deploy it for the betterment of your employees, clients, and all you deliver and touch. There is a ton of material and information out there and many pieces of data that can help you in this area. Our business is and will always be a blend of technology and human interaction, but we need to continue to adjust that mix as we learn of the new platforms and tech stack as a whole.
