Sponsored by GrowthZone, the award honors chambers that demonstrate excellence in organizational performance, member service, and community leadership while making a measurable impact on key community priorities such as economic prosperity, workforce development, transportation, education, and quality of life.

ACCE, based in Alexandria, Virginia, represents more than 1,600 chambers of commerce and related business and economic development organizations and more than 9,000 chamber professionals worldwide.

To qualify for the Chamber of the Year competition, chambers must first meet rigorous performance benchmarks in ACCE’s Annual Chamber Operations Survey. Organizations are evaluated on key measures including financial performance, membership retention, and operational excellence. Qualifying chambers then complete a comprehensive application detailing their governance, operations, and programmatic impact. Finalists are selected through a peer-review process conducted by chamber executives from across the country.
As a finalist, TRCC will advance to the final phase of the competition, which includes an in-person interview before a panel of experienced chamber professionals during ACCE’s Annual Convention in New Orleans.
