| Last week, the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association brought together workforce and industry leaders from across the state to celebrate the continued impact and momentum of the Good Jobs Challenge initiative. As part of the event, partners and employers were recognized for their leadership and contributions to workforce innovation across Ohio’s manufacturing sector. The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce was honored to receive a Collaboration Award recognizing our Industry Sector Partnership, NOMA (Northwest Ohio Manufacturing Alliance), for demonstrating an outstanding commitment to regional collaboration and partnership. The award celebrated organizations working across sectors and institutions to strengthen workforce efforts, align resources, and drive collective impact for employers and job seekers alike. The recognition reflects the ongoing momentum of the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce’s broader Talent Alignment Strategy and regional workforce initiatives. |
The event convened manufacturers, workforce partners, and Industry Sector Partnership leaders to recognize the collaborative efforts helping connect thousands of Ohioans to manufacturing career opportunities through employer-led workforce strategies. Partners reflected on the power of aligning employers, educators, workforce organizations, and community stakeholders around shared talent needs and long-term economic growth.
Through NOMA and the WorkAdvance model, measurable outcomes continue to demonstrate the impact of employer-led collaboration. In 2025, NOMA continued to lead statewide efforts to strengthen the manufacturing talent pipeline, including securing additional EDA Good Jobs Challenge funding to sustain and expand workforce programming.
To date, 236 individuals have earned nationally recognized manufacturing credentials, 213 participants received supportive services such as transportation assistance and work boots, and 115 individuals have been placed into manufacturing careers.
This work is part of a larger regional strategy focused on aligning workforce investments, expanding career awareness and pathways, and strengthening collaboration between employers, educators, workforce agencies, and community partners. The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce continues to convene regional workforce coalitions and Industry Sector Partnerships to help identify workforce gaps, align training with employer demand, and support long-term economic growth throughout Northwest Ohio.
The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce is proud to be part of these collaborative efforts to strengthen talent pipelines, support regional employers, and expand access to meaningful career opportunities throughout Northwest Ohio. Through continued partnership and innovation, Ohio’s manufacturing ecosystem is building momentum that will benefit businesses, workers, and communities for years to come.
