Industry Sector Partnerships
Opportunity Accelerator is an initiative of the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce to support industry sector partnerships (ISP) in the Toledo Region. Sector partnerships are a best practice that drives collaboration and engagement between industry, education, workforce, and economic development across a labor shed and within the specific needs of a particular industry. ISPs were identified as a top priority from the regional Talent Alignment Strategy. These groups are industry led and aim to close the skill gap and create talent alignment for the health and long-term growth of industries by focusing needs around sectors as opposed to the needs of the economy as a whole. In addition to workforce, ISPs may also collaborate on other issues such as regulatory barriers or industry innovations impacting the sector.
The Chamber will be initially focusing on the following partnerships based on feedback from members and the Talent Alignment Strategy:
