Summer in the City 2019
Summer in the City is a unique experience for summer interns, co-ops and new employees to network and explore the Toledo Region. The program, created and hosted by the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce, started in 2015 as a way to help interns build networks and show them what life would be like if they called Toledo their hometown.
The program is targeted at college junior, senior or graduate student interns who are working at a variety of businesses and organizations in Toledo for the summer.
In 2018, the Summer in the City program hosted 305 interns and co-ops from 84 cities and 5 countries representing 45 colleges and universities.
These interns and co-ops were building their skills and experience at more than 30 companies in the Toledo Region.
The 2019 program runs during June and July and offers interns the opportunity to experience both the quality of life and business side of the Toledo Region. Social events are geared towards fun and networking, while business events are aimed at educating the interns about professional life in the region.
