More than 100 young professionals gathered downtown at Black Cloister Brewing Company for our first Social of the year! Here are a few of our favorite highlights: By: Brian Dicken, Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce Members of the Ohio House of Representatives and Ohio Senate returned to Columbus January 3 for the start of the 132nd General Assembly. While there will be a number of bills introduced in the coming months, two of the biggest challenges faced by the legislature in the first half of 2017 will involve the unemployment compensation fund and the state biennial operating budget. Please know that the Chamber’s Advocacy & Public Policy team is not only closely watching developments on these issues, but actively engaging legislators on issues important to the business community.

After serving in the Korean War, Frank M Almester returned to Toledo to start his own business servicing sinks and drains (Rotor Rooter type business) as ABC Sewer. He then purchased Ace Septic Tank and Porta Potty Service in 1965. Ace was the first portable toilet company in the Toledo, Ohio area. |
