As the summer winds down and we look toward fall, it's time to recognize our newest members who joined the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce in August 2020. We're thrilled to welcome these new members to our established group of more than 2,300 organizations throughout the Toledo Region.
July is here, and that means plenty of sunshine, socially distance outdoor fun and blue skies. The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce has a lot to celebrate, including plenty of business reopenings and Ribbon Cutting Blitz celebrations. But we also want to take the time to celebrate and welcome our newest members. Congratulations and thank you to the new Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce members who joined in June 2020!
As we enter the month of June, we'd like to look back on and celebrate our new Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce members. Join us in recognizing our new members for the month of May:
Had you visited Put-in-Bay in 1905, you would have seen the beginnings of Miller Ferries to Put-in-Bay & Middle Bass Island. It’s now the biggest ferry service on Lake Erie, but it didn’t start that way. Back in the early 1900s, Miller Ferry began as a fishing charter and water taxi business in the summer, and an ice harvesting business in the winter.
Here at the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce, we're working hard to help promote a thriving business environment. Please join us in welcoming our newest members, who joined in March 2020. Don't forget to visit our Business Resources page, where you'll find all of the initiatives we're working on and supporting in order to help you succeed.
As the weather begins to clear up, the temperatures begin to rise and the promise of spring approaches, here at the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce, we also must look back at the previous month to celebrate our newest members from February 2020. The first month of 2020 is over, and we can barely believe it. However, the start of February 2020 means it's time to celebrate all of our fantastic new members who joined in January 2020. On Sept. 25, 1916, 160 acres in the Toledo Region were transformed into what is now the Sylvania Country Club. It is the site of many families’ memories; enthralling pieces of history, like when Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer met for the first time; and has helped the region expand, evolve and thrive.
By becoming a member of the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Sylvania Country Club demonstrates its dedication to the growth of the region and to its members and employees. We sat down with Roger Parker, general manager for the club, to discuss the club’s history and how the organization has changed over the course of more than a century.
