​What does the Ohio Attorney General, the Director of ODOT, and the Director of the Ohio EPA all have in common? If you said they are public officials, you would be right… but there is a better answer. They were all featured speakers at the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce’s recent Capitol Conversations event in Columbus and they all spoke about the need to streamline the regulatory process and be responsive to the needs of the business community.

Capitol Conversations is the Chamber’s annual trip to Columbus to meet with elected officials to share our needs, our opportunities, and influence the direction of public policy impacting the region’s business community. Nearly 70 members participated in this year’s event to bring attention to our region’s needs.

The Northwest Ohio Manufacturing Alliance (NOMA) is pleased to announce its renewed endorsement through The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association (OMA) Endorsed Industry Sector Partnership (ISP) Network as of May 13, 2024. This renewed endorsement recognizes NOMA’s commitment to addressing the workforce development needs within Ohio’s manufacturing sector, aligning with the OMA’s strategic goals.

​The OMA-Endorsed ISP Network has expanded to include 19 ISPs, now serving 75 of Ohio's 88 counties. NOMA collaborates with manufacturers across our service counties to address shared workforce development issues -- creating a framework of alignment, collaboration, and accountability that strengthens the manufacturing sector statewide.

April showers were plentiful in the Toledo Region this year, even setting a new record. Here at the Toledo Chamber, April was also a record-breaking month - for new members that is. Please help us welcome our 30+ newest members.
