Corporate Intelligence Consultants is celebrating their 40th year of business in the Toledo Region! Congratulations and thank you for your commitment to our community.

Corporate Intelligence Consultants (CIC) was started 40 years ago by Dick Cotner and his son, Steve. Dick was retiring as Agent in Charge of the IRS Criminal Investigation office in Toledo and Steve, who had worked in undercover drug units, had just completed his degree in Criminal Justice at BGSU. CIC offers employment screening services, background checks, surveillance and security consultation.

Toledo’s Downtown Outdoor Refreshment Area goes live

One of the largest Outdoor Refreshment Areas in Ohio went live Thursday, June 15 in downtown Toledo. The Downtown Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) allows patrons to carry an open beverage of alcohol outside in a designated cup provided at one of 24 participating restaurants, pubs and entertainment venues within a perimeter bounded by Lafayette, Adams, Erie and Summit Streets.

The two offer a unique experience in downtown Toledo, showcasing some of the best food and drinks that the area has to offer. They welcome tourists and locals alike to delight in local cuisine, while sharing the entrepreneurial stories of the restaurants and small businesses within the warehouse district neighborhood.

Toledo, Ohio once had more restaurants per capita than anywhere in the world!

HISTORY
On January 10, 1996 a group of concerned citizens and local history enthusiasts met to form the Fallen Timbers Battlefield Preservation Commission. The FTBPC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to collect, preserve, and interpret the history of the events leading up to, during, and as a result of the Battle of Fallen Timbers, which occurred on August 20, 1794.

Located in the urban core of downtown Toledo, Rustbelt Coffee offers a study-meeting-networking oasis, paired with a delicious permanent and seasonal menu. When entrepreneur team Jonathan and Sharon Perry bought 119 N. Ontario, their son Grant and his wife Brooke knew they had discovered the future home of their coffee shop Rustbelt Coffee. With their grand opening early last fall, Rustbelt currently employs 10 local residents.
