Nominations for Chamber Board of Trustees and TASBA Board of Directors being sought now

In accordance with the by-laws of the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce the organization is providing its membership the opportunity to submit nominations for individuals to serve on the Chamber's Board of Trustees and the Toledo Area Small Business Association's (TASBA) Board of Directors. You may nominate yourself or another individual.

All nominations must be mailed to:
Chairman, Nominating Committee
Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce
300 Madison Ave., Ste. 200
Toledo, OH 43604

All nominations must be received by Wednesday, Sept. 13. A nominating committee has been duly appointed and all nominations will be reviewed by the committee, however, it should not be assumed that all nominations will stand for election.

At the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce (TRCC), we believe that legislative advocacy is vital to fostering a pro-business environment that encourages job creation in the Toledo Region. At last Friday’s Summer Legislative Reception, presented by Charter Communications, over 120 attendees enjoyed a beautiful morning at the National Museum of the Great Lakes getting face-to-face time to ask questions of our elected officials and learn more about the issues that might affect their businesses. This event helps strengthen the relationships between our private and public leaders with the goal of promoting economic growth and prosperity throughout our region.

Advocacy in Action: Connecting the Toledo and Columbus Regions

Due to the collective voices from northwest and central Ohio business leaders over the past year, we are moving into the next phase of finding a solution for an improved highway connection between the Toledo and Columbus regions. This has been a long-time priority for the Chamber and our regional partners like TMACOG and TAGNO.

Just over a year ago, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) 23 Connect feasibility came to what felt like an abrupt end. Fortunately, business leaders and our state legislators were able to make the case to Governor DeWine that it is important to not only our region’s success, but all of Ohio’s to have better connectivity between our regions.
