Founded: 2010 Pete and Sue founded Tadmore Transportation with more than 20 years of freight experience, including warehouse supervising, truck driving, and shipping. Owners: Jordan and Marcia Elliott Established: Grand Opening April 18th, 2017 In 2016, Jordan Elliott and Marcia Elliott bought the franchise licenses for Sport Clips Haircuts in the Toledo region making them the first mother and son Sport Clips franchisees. Jordan became interested in franchises while he was a student at the University of Cincinnati, where he graduated with a degree in entrepreneurship. Marcia, who is recently retired, has a background with over 35 years of nursing. She also worked assisting HR and other various entities in the family business, which was one of the largest polyurethane foam manufacturing companies in the US. Since Jordan and Marcia are from Lima, Ohio, they were excited to learn Toledo was an open area for Sport Clips and they were able to obtain the license for the Northwest Ohio region. With Toledo being a sports minded community, they believe Sport Clips will be a perfect fit. There are plans to expand with 3-4 stores in the Toledo area. Each store will employ 10-12 employees (stylists). The first store opened on April 18, 2017, in Westgate Shopping Center on the corner of W. Cental and Secor Rd. Sylvania Schools Career Tech program offers 14 Career Technical programs that provide Sylvania students with UNIQUE workforce development activities to prepare them to be competitive in the workforce. At a recent Sylvania Schools Career Tech stakeholders meeting, students shared their experiences in the program.
