On Nov. 9-13, the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce’s EPIC Toledo, northwest Ohio’s largest young professional organization, held its annual Leadership Summit presented by Buckeye Broadband. This year has been full of changes and surprises, and this year’s Leadership Summit was no different. The event, which is typically held on one day in fall, this year filled an entire week of leadership development, networking and exciting virtual sessions.

​Matt Bell is 30 year old Toledo native who graduated from St. Francis de Sales in 2005 and earned an academic/athletic scholarship to the University of Toledo, where he played baseball. After an injury he became addicted to the pain killers that were prescribed to him, and one thing lead to another, ending in a 9 year bout with heroin. Jails, arrests, and overdoses became his reality, although they were never anything he foresaw or dreamt of doing.
