The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce, City of Toledo, and Toledo-Lucas County Public Library have announced a major expansion on The Ramp, presented by Kroger. This resource portal for small business owners and entrepreneurs in Toledo now includes access to programs that decrease barriers for access to capital, especially for women-owned, minority- owned and disadvantaged business owners. Users can explore a directory of loans, grants, and tax credits with contacts for funding only a phone call or email away. |
In addition to improving access to capital, local entrepreneurs have been using the filtered advisor search to access no-cost technical assistance. The Ramp also includes a searchable event calendar, searchable Learning Center, success stories, and a link to the Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Directory. Future expansions will include the capability to search contracting opportunities as well as standing up a virtual community.
“The City of Toledo is excited to support the growth of The Ramp, presented by Kroger, for Toledo’s entrepreneurs to help them easily access information on available resources and services,” said April Welch, Deputy Director of Small Business Development. “By providing access to this information in one place, The Ramp allows entrepreneurs the opportunity to compare available resources, and choose what option best fits their needs.”
The Ramp is generously supported by presenting sponsor Kroger as well as funding from the Toledo Area Chamber Foundation, City of Toledo, and Toledo-Lucas County Public Library.
