Lt. Col. Scott “Coma” Schaupeter was hand-selected by Col. Baker to be the director for the 2016 Toledo Air Show, a show that has been missing from the Toledo community for more than 10 years. Lt. Col. Schaupeter dedicated countless hours to bring the Toledo Air Show back to life. As air show director, he was responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the show from budget, performers, and logistics, to grounds, facilities and the show’s planning committee. He was also solely responsible for coordinating all of the outstanding historic and modern military and civilian aircraft static displays seen at the show, as well as all performers and the unique military flybys seen throughout the weekend.
Vasquez was the Hospitality Chair of the event. From organizing the VIP Chalets and private viewing areas to catering and everything in between, he made sure that attendees of the air show had a great time. Recognized for his willingness to jump in and help out wherever his skills were needed, he and Schaupeter made a great team in making sure the 2016 Air Show was a roaring success.
Congratulations to you both!
