In an energy filled training session this morning at the Radisson at UTMC, we kicked-off our membership campaign with more than 80 team chairs and captains. This is in preparation for our ALL IN Membership Event at the end of August. For two and a half days, hundreds of volunteers will work against the clock and against each other to sign up new Chamber members and create a greater community awareness of the important role of the Toledo Chamber and our mission to connect business with resources and opportunities; advocate for a thriving business environment and lead the charge to promote the assets of the region.
The event is organized by Jimmy Cusano and a group called Your Chamber Connection. Their specialty is high energy membership campaigns that allow volunteers to conduct "out of the box" membership fun while building the membership base.

“It’s about business,” says event guru, Jimmy Cusano. “The Chamber of Commerce is the business community. This brings everyone together to build our Chamber. It’s a membership-based organization and most people don’t like “membership drives”. With a Membership Event they come together in a competitive fun setting and tell the Chamber story. When others hear about everything the Chamber does, all of a sudden you have a great deal of enthusiasm for the Chamber, and a great deal of support.”
This is the first volunteer driven membership drive the Chamber has embarked on in more than a decade. Sixteen community leaders have already stepped-up and agreed to be event Chairs and provide a team. “The response from the business community for this effort has been overwhelmingly positive,” says Wendy Gramza, President and CEO of the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce. “This is the perfect time to engage our volunteers to help us share the message of the work the Chamber is doing to move our region forward.”
The ALL IN Membership Event will be held August 28th and 29th. We appreciate the generous support of Buckeye Broadband for hosting our event at their corporate offices. It will conclude August 30th with a wrap up party at Ward Pavilion at Wildwood Metropark.
