“The Institute provided me a foundation to better understand how to successfully navigate and interact with public officials, government funding, and more. Plus, I established meaningful relationships with Institute presenters and fellow participants who are now simply a phone call or email away as resources," said graduate Kate Fineske, Senior Director of Institutional Advancement for the National Museum of the Great Lakes.
The Institute is designed to help build and strengthen the foundation of our region’s leaders to serve their communities and work with public officials. Participants engage in discussions about the issues, requirements and expectations associated with public service. Sessions are taught by highly experienced professionals comprised of public officials and other regional leaders. The Institute also includes year-long engagement in activities and events.
