 Zak Vassar President & CEO, Toledo Symphony | Zak Vassar has been named President and CEO of the Toledo Symphony. Prior to this, he was a Senior Vice President at Communica, Inc. In his new role, Vassar will oversee a staff of 16 full-time and 10 part-time employees, an orchestra of 57 musicians, and a $6 million annual budget. His initial strategic areas of focus will be filling open positions on staff, growing the patron base, and selecting a new music director. |
 Jackie Tussing Affinity Group Manager, United Way of Greater Toledo | United Way has a long history of making a profound impact in our community. I am thrilled to work with their African American Leadership Council, Emerging Leaders, and Women's Initiative affinity groups to further United Way's mission. I have been so impressed with the groups' volunteer leadership, enthusiasm, and support of United Way since joining the team in July. Their dedication to changing the odds for families and individuals in our community is inspiring. |
 John Pezzino Risk Management Analyst, Welltower Inc. | Headquartered in Toledo, Welltower, Inc. (NYSE:HCN) has been investing in health care for over 40 years and is a leader in the industry. Our capabilities are as unique as our partnerships and investments, which presents a special set of risks that my team and I are tasked with managing. Specifically, my role as Risk Management Analyst will require me to support in due diligence of investment opportunities, management of claims and loss control practices at our properties and oversight of our newly-implemented analytics system. My experience and skills are a good match for this role, but I am also excited about this move because Welltower has a great culture that fits my personality and ambitions well. |
