Export Success 2020 Helps Your Business Get Over Exporting Hurdles

Tackling export issues can be quite challenging if you aren’t familiar with the process. Export Success at the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce (TRCC), together with the Regional Growth Partnership (RGP) Northwest Ohio, United Parcel Service (UPS), and the U.S. Commercial Service can help you and your company get over these hurdles and provide guidance in the world of exporting.

This program is strategically designed to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses interested in expanding into global markets. Export Success at TRCC can help you and your company develop plans to identify global markets, improve export efficiencies, understand export financing, and develop market entry strategies. We will meet once a month over a catered breakfast for a targeted topic session. Some of the topics we will discuss are:

• Legal Issues
• International Sales Process
• Logistics and Incoterms
• International Marketing, Banking, and Finance Issues

Export Assistance Network Resources
 
The Export Assistance Network at the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce can assist new-to-export companies as well as companies looking to improve efficiency in their exporting process. Along with services such as export education, due diligence and market research, the Export Assistance Network at the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce can also connect you to both State of Ohio and federal resources. On the federal side, we can connect you with the U.S. Commercial Service. The U.S. Commercial Service is the trade promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration. Through its network of trade experts and policy professional in 78 markets and all 50 states, the U.S. Commercial Service can assist U.S. firms in selling their “Made in the USA” products around the world, advise them on how to use trade deals to their advantage and help you overcome obstacles and barriers to international expansion.

International Market Access Grant for Exporters (IMAGE Grant)

• 50% reimbursement, up to $7,500 per fiscal year (eligible export related activates)
• Application deadline is Feb. 28 (funding is first come, first served)

• Up to $3,600 reimbursement for half of the intern wages
• Trained, full-time summer interns will focus on export development
