Have you ever thought about running for office or being appointed to a board or commission? Ever wonder why it seems like there are too many hoops to jump through when doing business with the government? Then the Institute for Leadership & Advocacy might be right for you!
Registration is now open for the 19th edition of the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce’s public service leadership program which begins in January. The Institute for Leadership & Advocacy provides individuals with the tools needed for addressing regional issues and achieving an understanding of the operations of government. More than 350 leaders from the Toledo Region have graduated from the program.
The program starts with a 10-week course designed to prepare leaders to effectively serve their communities and work with public officials. Participants engage in discussions about the issues, requirements and expectations associated with public service. Sessions are taught by highly-experienced professionals comprised of public officials and other regional leaders. Year-long engagement is available through events like our annual Columbus Legislative Lunch and Morning Access legislative breakfasts.
