The Ohio Delegation with Lt. Governor Taylor

Eighteen months ago when the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Ohio Export Assistance Network started planning for Hannover Messe 2016 the idea was simple: provide an opportunity for small Ohio companies to exhibit at the world's largest industrial trade show.
The implementation of this simple idea became eighteen months of intricate, and detail-oriented work that resulted in 6 unique companies from all over the state boarding planes and heading off to Hannover, Germany just four days ago.

Accelerant Technologies - Genoa: Energy industry compliance and performance training
Communica - Toledo: Full-service marketing communications firm
Force Robots - Cleveland: Automated finishing robotics
Monode Marking - Mentor: Marking and asset tracking solutions
Process Technology - Mentor: Wet process heating and cooling solutions
Sequent - Columbus: Turnkey employer solutions
Accelerant Technologies - Genoa: Energy industry compliance and performance training
Communica - Toledo: Full-service marketing communications firm
Force Robots - Cleveland: Automated finishing robotics
Monode Marking - Mentor: Marking and asset tracking solutions
Process Technology - Mentor: Wet process heating and cooling solutions

All the preparation and all the pre-show work is being put to the test as hundreds of thousands of people walk through the fairgrounds looking for the latest technologies, innovative products and services, and making connections with customers and partners from all over the world. In the four days the Ohio Export Assistance Network has had a booth at Hannover Messe we have made contacts with partners from 15 countries. Each co-exhibiting company has had planned and impromptu meetings and the opportunity to network with private and public partners from all over the world. Communica met with Kuka and had a robot pour them a cup of coffee, while Force Robots was invited to a networking event with robotics manufacturers from around the world.
On Tuesday, Monode Marking and Process Technology from Mentor were visited by the Governor of Brandenburg Germany, and the entire Ohio delegation spent time with Ohio Lieutenant Governor Taylor. Just next to our booth is a large delegation from Turkey and a friendly conversation as we were setting up lead Accelerant Technologies from Genoa to have a meeting with the Minister of Commerce for Turkey as well as the US Ambassador to that country to discuss potential partnerships. Sequent capitalized on the long journey to meet with clients in Vienna before coming to Germany where they have networked with partners from the Netherlands.
The opportunities are endless at this show, and as we hit the halfway point this week our feet may be sore from all the walking, but we are still looking forward to days of meetings, events and networking. The Ohio delegation is showing the world that the USA, and especially Ohio, are open for business. Whether you need manufacturing capabilities, or world-class professional services, small businesses across Ohio provide the solutions and the products to meet those needs, and this week you can find us at Hannover Messe 2016.
