The owners of Fowl and Fodder, Adams Street Cafe, and Poco Piatti teamed up to bring free driver service, the Lunch Limo Loop, to drive hungry downtown workers to the Adams Street Business District. The service began Oct. 7.
WTOL reports the owners have decided to bring the service downtown to encourage diners to visit their restaurants in light of construction and road closings downtown. The business leaders have seen a dip in diners, and are hoping this new initiative can enable a spike in restaurant patrons once again.
From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, if you’re located on Summit, Huron, Michigan, Madison, Jackson or Adams, you can call or text the driver before 11 a.m. to secure a spot on the limo that day at 419-867-8700. If your preferred reservation time isn’t available, the driver will work with you to secure available pickup and drop-off times.
With decreasing temperatures as we move into the fall season, some diners may be tempted to stay in or order out for lunch. However, with such a wealth of dining options downtown, business owners throughout the city are searching for strategies to get more diners through their doors.
