The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce is a proud longtime supporter of the Marathon LPGA Classic presented by Dana. Though we will miss Hole 14 Chamber Canteen and meeting with our members in person this year, we look forward to tuning in and continuing our successful partnership.
Through Aug. 9, Ladies Professional Golf Association pros will converge upon northwest Ohio to compete in the 2020 Marathon LPGA Classic presented by Dana at Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania. Though this tournament will look different than any before, as there are no spectators allowed during the pandemic, you can still enjoy the tournament by tuning in to The Golf Channel. What’s not different this year, however, is the support the Marathon Classic brings to northwest Ohio charitable organizations.

What’s not different this year, however, is the support the Marathon Classic brings to northwest Ohio charitable organizations.
The 2020 Marathon Classic is teeing up to support 25 children’s charities with myriad goals and focuses. The charities the Marathon Classic will support are selected by committee members following an application process. Like every year, the Marathon Classic is supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio as well as the Jamie Farr Scholarship Fund, administered by the Toledo Community Foundation. The committee selected 23 additional children’s charities this year.
The Marathon Classic will help support the needs of area children through basic living needs, inspiring them in their education and healthy living, advocating for children and supporting their families, providing them with mentors and direction, and enriching the lives of children with special needs by giving to the following organizations:
Since the Marathon Classic began in 1984, it has distributed over $11.5 million to children’s charities across northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.
Though fans may not be able to watch pros tee off in person this year, you can still be part of the event and show your support either by tuning in to The Golf Channel or by donating to this year’s children’s charity selections through the Marathon Classic.
