The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the hire of Heather Bradley as our new Executive Vice President! In this new role, Heather will lead the Chamber into an exciting future using her strong personal and professional experience. Whether Heather is a new or familiar face, we invite you to get to know her a little better in this Q&A. |
I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. A string of corporate transfers brought me to Toledo and I fell in love with the people and community. I chose to make Toledo my permanent home. For the past five years I was the Director of the Center for Nonprofit Resources and witnessed our community in action and our strength when we pull together.
What brought you to the Chamber?
I have a long relationship with the Chamber including member business, SBDC consultant and a member of the TASBA Board. I have a deep appreciation for the Chamber as a critical community partner supporting the interests of our region whether economic, industrial, professional, cultural or civic interests. I have had the chance to collaborate with many of the team members over the years and look forward to helping deepen our collective impact for our region.
What do you hope to accomplish in your role at the Chamber?
I hope to build on our successes while helping members with the expansion and innovation of the solutions we offer while striving for operational excellence.
What do you look forward to doing in your role?
What I look most forward to is meeting our members to understand how we can best support their growth and impact for our community, then collaborating with the amazing staff at the Chamber to strengthen support. When our members flourish, our community flourishes and the region is an even better place to live and work.
What is your proudest career achievement?
I am a published author and the second book featured an introduction written by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Ginsburg. It wasn’t something Justice Ginsburg did very often in her career, but our message resonated with her.
And now some personal questions...
Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
I love open wheel auto racing; particularly the IndyCar Series. I am also a longtime fan of international figure skating and was a fan blogger for U.S. Figure Skating.
What is your favorite book or movie?
I am a huge Nancy Drew fan. As a young girl the series helped strengthen my curiosity and solidify the belief there is a solution to every problem. As for movies, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is a personal favorite.
What is your favorite meal or food?
Chinese is my comfort food for sure – probably because my parents owned a successful Chinese takeout and delivery restaurant in Toronto until I was 10 years old.
Tell us about some of your favorite hobbies or things you’re passionate about.
I live with passion of helping people who help people ... and animals ... and the planet.
