Last week, Chamber staff had the pleasure of attending the Fresh Thyme Farmers Market’s ribbon cutting ceremony. With a big cheer, new, local Fresh Thyme staff and many excited community members welcomed the business to the Toledo area as general manager Dustin “Dusty” Drouillard sliced through the Fresh Thyme ribbon with the aid of Stacey Mallett, VP of Marketing and Communications at the Chamber.
Fresh Thyme is a grocer focused on making healthy eating affordable for everyone. Taking root across the Midwest, the store in Toledo is the 12th store in their Ohio expansion. When regional marketing coordinator Nicole Funk-Blue was asked why Toledo, she responded, “[Toledo] has a bustling community that we are proud to be a part of!”
The Toledo location has brought over 100 jobs to the area and management is extremely interested in getting involved with the community. They’ve already partnered with the Toledo Zoo for their Grand Opening and have promised to continue to partner with local non-profit organizations.

The phrase ‘smiling friendly faces’ is something customers in Toledo noticed right away. Employees were waiting at the door after the ribbon cutting ceremony to provide carts, information and direction throughout the store. They were excited to assist customers and make the experience at Fresh Thyme memorable and fun.
Fun Fact: Every Wednesday Fresh Thyme has a Double Ad Day! Which means the previous week’s ad and the current week’s ad are both valid! Double the savings!
