Owners: Jeraldine Stewart (Jera) and her husband William Stewart
Location: One Seagate Suite Place 107, Toledo, OH 43604
After ten years of being a local home based baker and building a following by word of mouth with the food truck crowd, Jera says she was blessed with an exciting new location in the Fifth Third bank building on Summit Street. The bakery officially celebrated their Grand Opening on July 10th, 2017.
Jera’s Heavenly Sweet is a local, old fashioned, everything made from scratch bakery with the kind of delicious goodies you found in your grandmother’s kitchen. Painted in attractive purple and pink colors, Heavenly Sweet is an oasis of amazing tastes, wonderful smells, and beautiful memories. The smiling, friendly staff adopted their warm customer service personality from their happy leader Jera Stewart.
ZooToDo, Old West End Festival, Jazz in the Garden at Toledo Botanical Garden, South of the Border Mexican Festival, Farmer’s Market, and the Maumee Festival are just a few of the area events which Jera’s Heavenly Sweet has been invited to participate. Heavenly Sweet has donated baked goods to numerous regional agencies and churches for their annual fundraisers.
In the future, Jera plans to use the bakery as a type of incubator for young women who need to get a fresh start, who need direction for their lives and who need to learn a worthwhile craft while learning life skills.
Jera’s Heavenly Sweet currently has six employees including Jera. Jera operates her business on the philosophy that they are a Christian business and Christian principles and practices are their roadmap for operating. Be honest, be fair, and be kind.
“Our goal is to treat every person who stops at our counter or even walks by our bakery with old fashioned respect and eye to eye warmth.” – Jeraldine Stewart
