After working with Team Recovery, and witnessing how badly Ohio has been affected by the opiate crisis, Matt Bell decided a collaborative solution was necessary. Midwest Recovery Center is a 22 bed detox and 38 bed inpatient/outpatient substance abuse and mental health treatment facility. The center helps men and women suffering from substance-use disorders achieve long-term recovery from substance abuse and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Midwest Recovery Center is a 22 bed detox and 38 bed inpatient/outpatient substance abuse and mental health treatment facility. The center helps men and women suffering from substance-use disorders achieve long-term recovery from substance abuse and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The organization will consist of nearly fifty full and part time employees, a large majority of whom are in long term recovery. This uniquely positions staff to be credentialed appropriately, while having survived the struggle of addiction themselves and able to offer empathy and encouragement from a personal point of view. Midwest Recovery Center will not offer any kind of narcotic maintenance medications, believing that this will help them achieve their goal of sending clients home, off all medications, drugs and alcohol and ready and able to become a productive member of society.
The team at Midwest Recovery Center will work with all treatment facilities to aid addicts in finding help, as well as collaborate with Team Recovery and the Lucas County Sheriffs DART unit. Case managers will help clients with legal assistance, job placement and other needs as they complete treatment and re-enter society.
