New Member Spotlight: Motel 6 Toledo/Maumee

​Have you ever driven past a business or a piece of property and thought to yourself, “I want to make something here?” Al Beshi, new owner of the Motel 6 on Heatherdowns Boulevard, did just that. He was a car salesman and would drive past the Days Inn and Motel 6 frequently for his job. Two years ago he realized the properties were for sale and bought them.

​The Motel 6 has been in Toledo for more than 30 years, but was put up for sale nearly two years ago. Beshi did some research and discovered that he really enjoyed the hospitality industry. It didn’t take long before he looked into the Toledo Area and decided to buy the property. He started with The Days Inn, which went so well, that he bought the Motel 6.
 
The first step for Beshi, after purchasing, was to renovate the property. Each room is now equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, and free WiFi. Beshi also recognized the importance of the trucking industry to this area and made sure, that after the renovation, ample truck parking would be available for guests.
 
Now that the renovations are complete, Beshi is excited to get more involved with the community and meet new people. One of his favorite things about his new venture are the employees that he has at his locations. They are very friendly and all try to make the guest experience their first priority.
