Mariah Peake & Josef Pipoly are both native to the Toledo Region. With two very different backgrounds, the two have combined their unique skill sets to form PACENERGIES, a consulting firm that helps clients maximize their energy efficiency, while minimizing business costs associated with energy. PACENERGIES helps clients procure financing while developing, engineering, and completing energy savings projects for commercial, industrial, and governmental spaces.
NAI Harmon Project Before & After
Both graduates of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Peake has a background in entrepreneurship relating to food service and Pipoly in finance. Like many great business concepts, PACENERGIES was born out of necessity and an existing business problem. Peake was previously working in her family’s business, Al Peake & Sons and Daughter Too Food Service. In an effort to help CEO Philip Peake lower overhead costs for the business, Peake researched options and came across articles outlining the benefit of energy efficient retrofits.

“Raised around a business, I’m blessed to have mentors help me in my Entrepreneur journey. After graduating Miami University 2 years ago, I’ve been seeking out a business that can add value to the Toledo community, like my family’s food service does for the city’s food and beverage industry.”
Mariah Peake
Meanwhile, Pipoly was working in private equity with a focus on manufacturing. His sole focus was to decrease expenses, increase efficiencies, and optimize operations for automotive original equipment manufacturers, industrial manufacturers and waste to energy plants across the globe. With this mentality and Peake’s experience, a partnership was formed.

PACENERGIES provides consultation to align their clients’ energy saving needs with our team of preferred local contractors.  The first step is conducting an energy assessment to determine current efficiency and future potential savings.  Every portion of the energy savings project is bid upon by local contractors, ensuring our clients experience the most affordable pricing, while delivering quality work every time.  Clients are then provided an affordable turn-key energy savings opportunity.

Joining the Toledo Chamber of Commerce and soon to join EPIC has given us a sense of what community feels like.  We’re excited to meet new people and create long lasting relationships.  We see a tremendous amount of value in Toledo and want to be part of the “renaissance” going on here.  We have already been able to take part in this as we have completed two energy savings projects for Beauty Bar Salon & Spa and KMP Management Group office facility, for a combined energy savings of $215,860.00.  In addition, we have 15 potential energy saving retrofits and new ground-up development in discussion now.  The opportunities here make us excited for the future of the community in Toledo.”
Josef Pipoly
