In 2006 Dennis Dickey moved his salsa production out of his kitchen and into the Northwest Ohio Cooperative Kitchen (NOCK) in Bowling Green, Ohio. There he received the help and expertise from experienced food industry individuals to take his company to the next level. Eventually, he grew too large to continue operations at NOCK and started looking for investors so he could start his own manufacturing plant. In 2015, Dennis found the perfect spot in Swanton, Ohio that had not only the space he needed, but the refrigeration capabilities that keeps Willy’s Fresh Salsa so fresh. Willy’s Fresh Salsa is located at the Toledo Express Airport!
Willy’s Fresh Salsa manufactures smooth cantina style salsa in Swanton, Ohio. Their seven signature flavors, Mild, Medium, Hot, Black Bean ‘N Corn, Just Peachy, Sweet ‘N Spicy, and Sweet ‘N Mild, are manufactured in small batches to ensure quality in every cup! As you take your first bite, your taste buds will thank you as they dive into loads of cilantro and bursts of onion and garlic. Keepin’ it simple is their motto! Caution: Highly Addictive!
When Willy’s first moved to Swanton, there were five people making salsa, running the offices, ensuring food safety, and getting purchase orders out the door on time. Now, Willy’s employs almost 30 people ranging from food manufacturing professionals to food safety experts to supply chain managers.
Willy’s Fresh Salsa is dedicated to producing safe, delicious, and fresh salsa while maintaining world class quality and service. With year over year growth of over 50%, Willy’s Fresh Salsa is starting to pop up all over the United States. They are currently in about 30 states and almost 4,000 stores!
