The Export Assistance Network Director, Sabrina D'Onofrio, CGBP, CBA was proud to have a company in her territory that stretches 18 counties in Northwest Ohio, be featured at the Ohio Export Internship Program Summit in Columbus this month. The company, 50 Strong is located in Lima, Ohio. 50 Strong creates and manufactures water bottles right here in Northwest Ohio.
They were featured at the Summit to highlight the great work that their intern did this summer for 50 Strong. Their water bottles are the only sport water bottles that Walmart carries!
The co-founders of 50 Strong by degree are an engineer and attorney, but they have started this great company that not only makes a great product, but also supports jobs and American made goods right here in Northwest Ohio.
50 Strong was a first time participant in the Ohio Export Internship Program this year. The program is designed for companies that are looking to export for the first time or to improve their current exporting process. This program matches companies with highly driven students that have taken export-focused coursework at Ohio universities and colleges. The company has the intern for 12 weeks and is reimbursed up to $3,600 for half of the intern wages. The 2020 Ohio Export Internship Program is now open for companies looking for a summer intern for 2020.
