PCs for People collects donated technology from corporate partners, refurbishes and repackages the machines and sells them back to the public at a fraction of the cost of new technology ($30 for desktops, $50 for laptops, etc). We’re hopeful this partnership will benefit local businesses as well by providing a technology recycling source that gives back to our community.
Here’s where we need your help. We are hosting two online opportunities (September 8 and 10) to share information about how local businesses can work with PCs for People to turn old technology into promising futures for our community. Please consider sending your CTO, CIO, or whoever manages your company’s technology assets to one of these meetings. If you aren’t able to have someone attend, please drop a line to the library’s director (Jason Kucsma, and we will connect your team with PCs for People.)
