The Pinnacle is proud to announce its twentieth year as the leading special events venue in Northwest Ohio. In an era when hospitality companies come and go, The Pinnacle has achieved two decades of innovation and steady growth. The company will commemorate the occasion with specials for all events booked for 2018.

The Pinnacle began operations in December of 1997 when Tom Thees first opened the doors. Tom’s nephew Mark Thees and his wife Liz, purchased The Pinnacle in 2004. This makes The Pinnacle a locally owned and operated family business. When you consider the Management Staff and their loyal Team Members, they have over 200 years experience providing the perfect destination and atmosphere for the Toledo community to receive the highest level attention to detail for events and special occasions.

The early success of The Pinnacle has encouraged dozens of their first clients to continue to work with them since 1997. In the last 20 years, The Pinnacle has served over one million guests. Brides and their families know that The Pinnacle is the destination to provide them with service that is individualized to their own personal wants and needs. This reputation has gained them the honor of being designated the official Caterer of The Marathon Classic at Highland Meadows.

In 2008, Mark and Liz Thees opened the Twylite Terrace. This offers events the opportunity to host guests in an outdoor setting as well. The Pinnacle offered local non-profit organizations a venue to host fundraising events starting in 2009. To date, Twylite Thursdays has helped these organizations over one hundred fifty thousand dollars to put back into our community.

Most recently, the Pinnacle has traveled to other states to help with Emergency and Disaster Relief Catering. Mark Thees, owner of The Pinnacle, has traveled with his team to various locations over the last few years to provide a delicious, warm cooked meal to the many volunteers that were working at these sites. The ability to take on such a large task is due to the fact that The Pinnacle team is very skilled at providing off-premises catering for events.

The Pinnacle’s continual upgrading of existing hospitality and services reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering professional and individualized attention to every event. Mark Thees, President of The Pinnacle, holds the belief that each event should be treated specially and uniquely. He states, "Every event we do is a showcase" and makes every effort to ensure that these events are created with each individual customer in mind. "Celebrating Life's Events" is really what we are about, and Mark knows that The Pinnacle provides the perfect setting for these events. After spending 35 years of his career perfecting the area of hospitality, Mark Thees knows to never expect two events to be alike; it is their uniqueness that makes each one so special.

As The Pinnacle’s customer base has expanded during its twenty-year history, the company has focused on training their Team Members to provide their guests with the best experience in the Toledo area. These services help customers learn that the hospitality industry should provide them with the level of service they are accustomed to when they host or attend an event at The Pinnacle.

To kick off its anniversary celebration, The Pinnacle will be offering to host 20 complimentary guests at all newly booked receptions, with any of our wedding packages (Adult minimum guest count must be met in order for discount to apply).
