EPIC Toledo Leadership Summit presented by Buckeye Broadband Friday, Nov. 5 During EPIC Toledo’s Leadership Summit in 2020, emerging leaders from our region’s many businesses joined to discuss how to fortify their mental health and ensure they are practicing positive self-care techniques to prevent burnout, mitigate stress and maintain a mindful life. This year, the EPIC Toledo Leadership Summit presented by Buckeye Broadband will give you the tools necessary to “lap” yourself and your competition – without sacrificing the skills we built upon in 2020. On the agenda are sessions on leading with joy, empathy in the workplace, what’s next for Toledoans and Being a Positive Disruptor in the Workplace with keynote speaker Dr. Patrice McClellan. Gordie Howe International Bridge: An Institute Series Presentation Wednesday, Nov. 10 The Institute Series continues! This important series focuses on issues that our region’s business leaders should know about in order to prepare for the future. On Nov. 10, join us virtually for a presentation from the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority on the Gordie Howe International Bridge project. This bridge will join Detroit with Windsor, Ontario, and has the potential to deliver much-needed transportation improvements to the Toledo Region and beyond. With a major bridge development that will connect a nearby city with Canada, Toledo will continue its momentum toward becoming a hub of activity, economic growth and tourism. |
FOCUS|2021 presented by KeyBank featuring Owens Community College President Dr. Dione Somerville Wednesday, Nov. 17 FOCUS|2021 presented by KeyBank returns Nov. 17 with a presentation from Dr. Dione Somerville, president of Owens Community College. In addition to a delicious lunch in the scenic Toledo Museum of Art GlasSalon, attendees will enjoy hearing about Dr. Somerville’s vision for moving Owens Community College into the future and how those plans might impact business. Plus, we will discuss the new Dana Center for Advanced Manufacturing Training, which is helping to expand Owens’ advanced manufacturing offerings and preparing a new, critically in demand generation of workers for the Toledo Region workforce.
