By becoming a member of the Toledo Chamber, you show your support of our changing, evolving and growing business community in northwest Ohio, and the initiatives that we take on. In addition to holding various in-person and virtual events that can help you connect with like-minded business leaders and public servants in our community, our Advocacy & Public Policy department helps to advocate for legislation that has a positive impact on our economy and legislation that supports your business. Our Talent & Workforce team helps to attract and retain diverse talent in our region through programs such as EPIC Toledo, the region’s largest young professionals organization; Summer in the City, which shows interns from northwest Ohio businesses what it’s like to live in Toledo; REDI - Re-Entry Development Initiative, which provides assistance to businesses seeking fair chance hiring opportunities; and other workforce development initiatives and events. Your membership with the Toledo Chamber also grants you access to the COSE Health and Wellness Trust (MEWA), a partnership between the Chamber and Medical Mutual that offers businesses a high quality health care plan and benefits.
Ready to get involved (or more involved) with your fellow members? Join us at one of our upcoming events this month:
Capitol Conversations presented by AT&T
Aug. 3 and 24, 2021
As a business leader, it’s vital to form relationships with our region’s elected officials and policy makers. After all, they are who make the decisions that can and will impact your business. Capitol Conversations presented by AT&T acts as a connector between you and these important decision makers. Join us as we learn from and connect with the people who have the power to help your business through legislation and important local and state initiatives. On Aug. 3, we will be joined by Congressman Robert Latta, OH-05 in person at the Radisson Hotel at The University of Toledo. Our speaker for Aug. 24 will be announced soon.
Drivers Ed
Aug. 5, 2021
Join a cohort of your peers as they learn from and teach one another! Drivers Ed is a 10-session course in which you build relationships with like-minded business leaders. This series serves to bridge the gap between when emerging leaders leave EPIC Toledo and enter our board member positions here at the Chamber. Not only do Drivers Ed participants have the chance to learn best practices in various areas of running a business, they also form relationships and build a network with this tight-knit group of leaders.
H2Ohio Water Quality Program, an Institute Series presentation
Aug. 11, 2021
The Institute Series continues Aug. 11 with a virtual discussion by Joy Mulinex, Executive Director of the Ohio Lake Erie Commission, and Terry Mescher, H2Ohio Program Coordinator with the Ohio Department of Agriculture. The Institute Series is an extension of the Toledo Chamber’s Institute for Leadership & Advocacy program, and each session focuses on an issue that has significant importance to our business community. The H2Ohio program is an initiative by the state of Ohio that aims to improve the health of our region’s lakes and waterways, and here in the Toledo Region, Lake Erie has a major impact on our business community. Learn about what the H2Ohio program is and its plans for the future of our region, and how those decisions can affect your business.

Aug. 17, 2021
Do you have emerging leaders in your business that want to make connections with other leaders just like them? Help them to register for EPIC Toledo, northwest Ohio’s largest young professionals organization! On Aug. 17, EPIC Toledo members converge on The Toledo Spirits Company for cocktails, a unique selection of food and great conversations with YPs from around the region. EPIC Toledo connects emerging leaders in your business with others just like them, and it also helps them form strong bonds with your business and our community.
Morning Access: Legislative Breakfast presented by AT&T
Aug. 20, 2021
The Toledo Chamber’s Morning Access program returns! On Aug. 20, meet us at the National Museum of the Great Lakes for coffee and conversation with elected officials from our region and state. This is the ideal next step following Capitol Conversations presented by AT&T, as Morning Access: Legislative Breakfast presented by AT&T offers no presentations, only great networking and a dedicated few hours of conversation with the elected officials and key policy makers whose decisions can impact your business. This is your opportunity as a business leader to get true face time with local and state decision makers and to influence the decisions they make. Click the link above to view all of the elected officials who will be in attendance on Aug. 20.
